Every year on February 14 – Valentine’s Day, lovers express their feelings for each other by giving each other greeting cards, candies, hearts, flowers. Originally an old Roman Catholic holiday, the day became associated with romantic love in the Middle Ages. In the 14th century, on this day, it became a tradition to exchange love messages – the so-called “valentines”. Modern symbols of love are now the heart and the image of a winged Cupid. In the Bulgarian national calendar, Trifon Zarezan or Day of the Vintner, which is also a wine festival, is celebrated then.
After last year’s article with the most interesting activities for the holiday was quite shared and read, for 2024 we have again distinguished 5 events that we think will be interesting for lovers or just for you and someone dear to your heart .

Love and wine in the theater
Love and wine in the theater is the name of the gala evening, which will take place on February 14, 2024 at the Boris Hristov House of Culture. The program includes two separate events with one ticket:
“For love” starts at 7 p.m. – a theatrical performance with the participation of Tsvetana Maneva, Lilia Maravilya, Todor Darlyanov, Petar Antonov, Silvia Petkova, Darin Angelov, Boryana Bratoeva and Petar Dochev, based on the dramatic texts of Yana Borisova. The director is Dimitar Kotsev – Shosho, the scenography is by Elis Veli, and the music is by Milen Kukosharov.
“For Love” is a unique theatrical-musical experience that gathers on one stage different actors with different interpretations of familiar and brand new texts by the same author. Each performance is absolutely unique, exciting and unknown. And every time it’s like for the “first time”. The performance is based on dramatic works by Yana Borisova, who is one of the most famous and successful playwrights in Bulgaria, combined with the music of maestro Milen Kukosharov.
From 9 p.m. in the lobby in front of the hall, the band Melomania will transport us to the world of romance and love with some of the most romantic and eternal Bulgarian pop hits. The concert will be accompanied by a festive cocktail, with a glass of wine for everyone who chooses to celebrate their evening with us.
Couples games for Valentine’s Day
Maybe you’ve never played games or pretend you’re not a dirty gamer to smear the competition. The most gamers’ place under the hills has prepared for you dozens of easy and quick to explain games.
The rules are simple – we put you in pairs and at each table you duel with the other pairs. The goal is to eliminate the others until only one pair remains and she wins the prize – a bottle of whiskey and a great knitted trophy from Saturday Afternoon called “Anatomy of the Unimaginable of the Visionary Cortex of Psychological Romanticism”.
In addition to everything else, during the event there will be a special menu – just for this event and at promotional prices for everyone involved.
