The first Thai restaurant in Plovdiv opened its doors

The oldest restaurant in the city, with nearly a century of history, once again welcomes guests at the same location on Otets Paisii Street, where it has been operating since 1929. Despite the changes over the years, Zlatna Krusha remains true to its name, but today it is taking a bold step forward with a completely new concept.

Behind the transformation are the owners of the well-known Saffron restaurant in Kapana, who took over at the beginning of the year and chose to breathe new life into the space, turning it into a Thai restaurant, the first of its kind under the hills.

Thai cuisine is known for its harmony of flavors – sweet, sour, spicy, bitter and salty, combined in balanced and rich dishes. The menu relies on typical products such as rice and noodles, fish and seafood (most often shrimp), chicken and duck meat, fresh spices and exotic fruits. The preparation includes techniques such as cooking in a wok pan or grilling over an open fire, which give an authentic taste and rich aroma.

Among the offerings that you should not miss are the traditional tom yam soup and red Thai curry, and the menu also features surprising accents such as mochi ice cream and miso soup, typical of Japanese cuisine. With its new concept, Zlatna Krusha offers a true culinary journey and a touch of the exotic, which has been missing from the gastronomic map of Plovdiv until now.
