Plovdiv proves once again that it is a city where aromas, tastes and culture go hand in hand. According to the prestigious European Coffee Trip Awards, three of the best specialty coffee shops in Bulgaria are located right under the hills.
European Coffee Trip is a fast-growing platform that connects lovers of quality coffee with specialty coffee shops and bakeries across Europe. Since 2014, the team has been building a carefully selected catalog of places dedicated to high coffee culture. Today, the platform reaches over 2 million annual web views and 250 thousand downloads of the mobile app, helping more than 10 thousand people daily to discover their new favorite coffee shop.
It is through this mobile app that the annual European Coffee Trip Awards are also held. In the period September 9 – October 9, 2025, 22,251 valid votes were recorded. Over 4,300 specialty coffee shops received at least one vote, and over 80% of participants listed three different places in their ranking.
